i was listening to talk back radio last night as i do many nights to keep up on current events. i came in halfway through a debate about Newzealand having two flags.Wintstin peters is claiming that this flag has been put in place after many moari have vioce there upsteness over not having there own national flag. W.peteres has told us that this will bring us together as a nation (europeans+moari) because we would come to accept we are two people living as one.
hmm im not entirely sure this is a good idea.
why?
because this is quite clearly not going to join us together it is gonna separate us. build a bigger rift between the two races. even some moari's who rang up were disappointed in the change. its silly to think we are the only country in the world who has to names (new zealand + Aeroteroua) two national anthems and now two national flags.
but then i guess we were the first country to give women the vote soo i gues we are a nation of big changes i guess.
but until im assured this is for the better then im gonna be annoyed at the fact we need two flags.
